FEBC’s ministry in Cambodia started with shortwave radio in 1953. But through the many years of hardships, FEBC broadcasters were forced to flee to the Philippines where they continued to produce programs. In 1995, the Cambodian government allowed the national broadcasters to return and establish FEBC Cambodia’s first studio in Phnom Penh. By 2002, a new FM station called Voice of Love was established.
Today, Cambodia’s Voice of Love FM99.5 radio station continues to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to thousands of listeners everyday, alongside social media and digital platforms, reaching four million people. Its programs, centred on faith, encouragement and God’s truth, have made Voice of Love a beacon of hope in a nation where many young people are searching for meaning and purpose.
FEBC Cambodia’s youth-focused programming speaks directly into the hearts of the next generation. Beyond traditional radio, the team is using social media to expand its reach, creating Gospel content that inspires, challenges and draws young people closer to God. As youth spend much of their time in the digital space, FEBC Cambodia has seen success reaching them through these digital platforms.
FEBC Cambodia has also partnered with a local church to host a youth worship concert. Over 400 young people attended for an evening filled with worship, testimonies and joy. Believers were encouraged to bring their non-Christian friends, and many heard the Gospel that day for the first time. It was clear that the Holy Spirit moved in powerful ways, and that though social media is an avenue to reach the next generation, in-person outreach remains a vital arm to the ministry.
We pray for the FEBC Cambodia team as they continue their ministry, both on airwaves and through new digital media platforms. Lord, multiply their efforts on social media and other digital platforms as they continue to expand their reach, connecting with young people where they are and opening their hearts to receive the Gospel. And Lord, help them to gather the next generation to worship You and to receive Your truth and love for them. Amen.
