FEBC broadcasts the Good News in Ukraine on 7 FM radio stations throughout the country. We first aired programs to Ukraine via shortwave in the late 1940’s. In 1992, after communism fell, FEBC began operating within the country.
Even in the midst of war, FEBC-Ukraine continues to faithfully share the Gospel with children and teenagers – offering the unshakeable hope found in Jesus Christ. From cities under constant shelling to displaced communities searching for stability, the FEBC team in Ukraine is helping the next generation encounter Christ in ways that speak to their hearts and circumstances.
As the FEBC team in Ukraine continues to reach children through radio dolls, their mission is also expanding into the digital world – bringing the message of Jesus to young viewers in engaging and relatable ways. The team produces short, animated clips (3-5 minutes) which share simple stories of the life of Christ, translated and dubbed into Ukrainian so that even the youngest children can understand the love of Jesus.
Beyond that, the FEBC team in Ukraine also regularly welcomes school children and teens – including many who do not yet know Christ – to attend workshops at their production studio. During these workshops, they can learn how a radio station works, meet the on-air hosts, and discover how these media platforms can be used for good. These encounters often spark meaningful conversations about faith, and open hearts to the hope, purpose, and important values that come from knowing Christ.

Teenagers in Ukraine are facing immense challenges. Many come from divided families, in which one parent is serving in the army or living abroad. The families in Ukraine struggle with constant anxiety and fear caused by shelling. They grieve the loss of friends and relatives, and face deep uncertainty about the future. Years of school closures and online learning have led these students to isolation and a loss of social connection. Many of these teens have been displaced or forced to relocate within Ukraine, creating financial and social hardships. As a result, many teens and young adults are battling loneliness, social cruelty, and even suicidal thoughts.
